@ Howard University
I am currently involved in the research of developing a Remote Adaptive computing Resource Environment (RARE). This research addresses the issue of developing a resource management system that will supervise the loading and execution of user process requests. Users will send data to the system from a remote site. Bottleneck portions of the data will then be processed on hardware that has been optimized to perform a particular task more than 10 times faster than a typical high performance computer. Results will then be transmitted back to the users via the Internet. In my portion of the project I am developing of a specific re-configurable computer which will speed up the processing of a limited software model for flocculation. My research advisor is Dr. Clay Gloster.
In my first year and a half at Howard University I was involved in the Advanced Telecommunications and Information systems Research program (ATIRP). During this time I assisted in the development of army battlefield Wireless LAN OPNET simulation models. The project concluded in May 2001 at the University of Maryland with proof of concept demonstrations highlighting such issues as the re-cofigurability, and adaptability of the models as compared to the Army's needs. My research advisor on this project was Dr. Todd Shurn of Howard University.
@ Cal-State University, Northridge
As an undergraduate at CSUN, I assisted in the research of developing a Mission Manager for an uninhibited air vehicle. The research was sponsored by Lockheed Martin Skunk Works, and its purpose was to explore a possible new method for increasing fault tolerance in UAV's. The real-time software used in simulating the Mission Manager was G2. My research advisor was Dr. Ramin Roosta.
