In 1997, 31 states, the District of Columbia, the U.S. Virgin Islands and 33 foreign countries were represented in the engineering student body. Women comprise almost one-third of the total enrollment in the School.

Distinguished graduates include the founder of a major computer organization, deans and professors at several schools of engineering, presidents of consulting firms and numerous persons holding responsible positions in private industry and government.

Although the student body of the School of Engineering if challenged by a rigorous course of study, many of our students are also active participants in a variety of student organizations and other extra-curricular activities. A complete list of student organizations is available on the web site for the College of Engineering, Architecture and Computer Sciences.
