1995 Accomplishments:

• TASK 1 - Compilation of recent literature regarding real time embedded systems and parallel processing using the Ada Software language.

• TASK 2 - Translation of Graphical User Interface (GUI) software from Silicon_Graphics_GL language to Open_GL.

1996 Accomplishments:

• TASK 1 - Performed high speed network benchmark tests on two Silicon Graphics workstations interconnected via Fibre Channel point to point link. Indentified bottle-necks and documented software design to improve performance.

• TASK 2 - Developed network benchmarking programs utilizing the Unified Message Passing (UMP) application program interface to measure the performance while transmitting messages between two Silicon Graphics workstations interconnected via a Fibre Channel point to point link.
