Hybrid communication networks consist of seamlessly interoperable satellite, terrestrial wireline and terrestrial wireless networks. They are ubiquitous in military networks and most recently they represent an economically feasible means to establish a global information infrastructure. There is critical need to develop modeling, performance evaluation and design methodologies and tools for such heterogeneous internetworks.
