Teacher database
Classes Gbenga and Shenee
Create an easy to use interface to the database. Write code to create teacher tables, and fill them up.
Setup of dirs, creation of files, property files Gbenga
Any utility class you need ask gbenga. Some other classes to help he will create are
- Student holds vital stats for student (name, id, pass just to store in memory)
- Teacher same
- TeacherClasses probably holds all class info in memory (gbenga has to think about it)
-
TeacherClass hold
vital stats for a (one) class might just have a list of all classes in here
just like huvc.Student.StudentClass
- as gbenga said before anything you think is too trivial, just give It to him, hell try to finish it in a day.
- Please look at the huvc.Student.StudentClass all who are working on student side
Attendance and Grades
Right now, its lamia, abou, shenee, gbenga, so we have to break up the tasks when we get to this one.
The following features for each are
- Store
- View (JTable)
- Edit (JTable)
Properties
As we have already discussed we have a file structure, check the documentation shenee typed up. So both student and teacher have prop files. These will be in Java property format. In huvc.tests.PropertyTests, there is an example how to load, use, set, and save java property files.

 The works
People we can do this, lets work as a team. Please remember to always check on the web
https://www.imappl.org/~gbtaylor/snr_project for updates. this will be there.
And remember to follow the package rules that have been set. Make sure standalone classes (not drivers) are placed in the appropriate package. If no suitable package name exists create a new one, and tell the group. I suggest all drivers, both student and teacher should be kept in their own folders (but not included as part of a package). For example, the Launcher (query server), and the time server are in a folder called huvc/Servers, but are not in the package huvc.Servers, meaning dont put any package packagename statements in the driver program code.
