You will be assigned a research topic. You must perform a scholarly review of 3 refereed journal manuscripts and prepare and present a summary of your topic to your peers and instructor.
Your written manuscript reviews should provide the following:
1)Provide a two page written review of each article. Attach a copy of the articles that you selected.This review should include:
a.Summary of all the major points in the paper
b.Your reason for selecting a particular article for review
c.Assumptions made by the author(s)
d.The institutes that the authors are associated with
e.Your personal critique of the author contribution to the disciple
f.Brief explanation principle equations contained within the manuscript
2) Your (MS Power Point) summary presentation should included the following:
a.Time period of initial design
b.The institute that provided much of the initial development work
c.What need within data communications does this technology attempt to satisfy
d.What OSI layer does it reside
e.What are its advantages
f.What are its disadvantages
g.What additional hardware, software and protocol are typically required by the technology
h.What are the future advancements for this technology can we anticipate
i.List major conference regarding this technology, include when and where
j.Does the DoD use this technology, how and where
3)Provide a one page executive summary, in outline form, for your topic based on your in class presentation, provide answers to the above questions.Provide a bibliography your articles reviewed, use IEEE bibliography style.
