Miss Dupree

Miss Dupree (aka Jedda Jones) is a showbiz Renaissance women. This comedian-writer-producer-actress did not set out for the road to stardom however, but the path was ineveitable. Jones has been a comedien at heart ever since grade school where she was the class clown. She took her jokes to the board room at AT&T; where she was a management training consultant. She was famous for her humorous approach to conducting those "stuffy management courses".Finally, she could deny her talent for tickling funny bones no longer so she left her home town of New Orleans in a hot pursuit of an entertainment career . "I jumped on an airplane, went to New York and said, 'I'm a comedienne, ya'll. Here I am!" Jones said. In a comedic world with only a handful of black comedienne women, Jones perservered. She soon established herself as a hot commodity on the entertainment market. After a short stint perfecting her comedic talents at the improv, Jones emerged into a full fledged comedienne-- performing on major networks such as Fox T.V.'s "Comic Strip Live", A&E;'s "Evening at the Improv", NBC's "Showtime at the Apollo" and was even a special guest on Whoopi Goldberg's HBO comedy special, "Chez Whoopi." She later branched out beyond the stage to acting, writing and producing. She can be seen in major hollywood films such as "Batman Forever", "Indecent Proposal", and "Angel Heart". Jones even broadened her talents to the prime time world in sitcoms like "Coach" and "Sister Sister". So far, no segment of the entertainment industry is out of Jones' reach. She wrote for Fox's "A Current Affair" and "Townsend Television". Now as the infamous Voodoo priestess on the Tom Joyner Morning Show, Miss Dupree brings to this role some of her spicy, southern sass that only a small town girl from New Orleans with years of committment to audience entertainment can bring. Jones is also one of the writers and actress behind the popularly hilarious "It's Your World", on the Tom Joyner Morning Show.
