If we have our way, no one will go hungry on Thanksgiving!

WHUR is a proud supporter of Project Harvest for the past??? years.

This charitable organization seeks to feed as many people as possible during the Thanksgiving holiday season.

For years, WHUR have used its influence to encourage listeners to donate their non-perishable food items at any metropolitan police or fire station during the month of November. Listeners have whole-heartedly responded to the call.

Last year, WHUR and NBC-4 and raised over $30,000 toward this effort.

WHUR staff and friends also go a step further and arrange and hand out food baskets on Thanksgiving, bringing smiles to the faces of those less fortunate.
