During the last three years, IBM has worked with CIOs and business leaders around the globe to help them respond to business challenges and opportunities using Java technology.

Java technology provides a consistent way to build, deploy and run applications across major platforms, helping to leverage your existing investments and to reduce the cost of developing new applications.

To help customers move from business-as-usual to e-business, IBM has developed the Application Framework for e-business - a methodology for building e-business applications that is based on open, industry standards and cross-platform technologies, including Java technology.

This presentation will discuss how IBM application development tools such as VisualAge for Java, WebSphere Studio, Domino Application Studio, eSuite DevPack and IBM San Francisco Common Business Objects, allow developers to create Web applications rapidly and to lower application development costs by automating tedious programming tasks. This lets them focus on business logic instead of plumbing.
