OURSE PREREQUISITES

The prerequisites for the course is as follows:

• basic knowledge of multimedia
• the ability to navigate the Internet
• basic knowledge of text editors
  

OURSE DESCRIPTION

The course instructs students the major concepts involved in three areas of multimedia which are as follows:

• Introduction to Multimedia
  
• Data Compression
  
• Developing Homepages
  

It consists of three lesson, one on each of the topics mentioned above, and will last four weeks.

RGANIZATION OF THE LESSONS

There is an introduction and an objective of the lesson. There is also quizzes and assignments that the student are obligated to complete and submit to the system. Please click here to look at the grading scheme for the course. The system also provides links that put the students in the right direction for additional information on the lessons. Note that a submission form is provided for quizzes and assignments. It is important to that a student must perform the lessons in the order in which they are outlined here. The systems checks to enforced that policy. In the event that the student want to interact with the teacher, he or she will have to send e-mail to media online. Note that response time for feedback is 24 hours.

OURSE MATERIAL

The material for the course will be sent to students once their registration materials have been processed. Some of the material will be on the Internet; therefore, the links to these locations will be provided.

OURSE REQUIREMENTS

The course requirements entails the following:

• students need to do all the quizzes and assignments
  
• students need to used the Internet as much as possible for information and resources
  
• students emphasiasm and intuition is required.

There is no required text for this course. All the required information will be furnished in the form of links to locations on the Internet.
