Greetings from the Flashy Flag section. My name is Verna Orr, and I am the captain for the 1998 flag squad. We would like to cordially welcome you to Howard University, "The Mecca" and to the Flashy Flag squad of the H.U. Marching Band! This year we had 16 ladies on our squad & we strive for excellence in our halftime performances, as well as in our academic studies. As a squad we had a combined G.P.A. of 3.4, and we have recieved over 14 awards for National Achievements. Again, we welcome you to Howard University, and thank you for visiting our website.
