I'm a simple man who enjoys simple pleasures.  Born in the District of Columbia on Capitol Hill.  I was raised in Maryland in Southern Prince George's county I attended Friendly High School In Fort Washington MD.   I graduated in 1994 From there I went on to Major in Architectural Engineering at    Florida Agricultural And Mechanical University  That didn't pan out, not the school I love FAMU; but  the major nor the town stuck (I'm a city boy and  I couldn't stay in Leon County Florida.) However I guess deep down in my Heart I'll still be a Rattler.  So now an since 1995 I've been at Howard       The Real HU.

A number of people wonder why I'm still in school since I started like 6 years ago.

Like 2pac said " When I say I'm living large all you see is the struggle." -- from "I ain't mad at cha."

I've been working since my freshman year at Howard. I'm taking my whipping right now rather than  later on when it will cost me more ( and If life hasn't given you a whipping yet, don't worry it's coming just keep on living), it's all a game of survival any way.   Yeah I've had my struggles and I've been working at times that I should've been in the Computer lab or studying.  I've been supporting myself and working, I've gained a ton of experience and have built some life long relationships, but there is one thing I've learned that's proved more valuable than anything during my years working and going to School.

Life is what you make of it, we have more control over our destiny than we want to admit, and that scares a lot of us.

Some would be perfectly willing to go to school (or not) and learn how to be good employees.  Go to work for a paycheck, work harder and ask for more money and at the end of the day try to find some sense of worth in this existence and wonder "is there something better?"   When you work 10 x harder where does  all of that effort go, into who's pocket?  I tell the kids I teach, why would you want to be Kevin Garnett and get paid 125 million? Think about it;  how much money is the  owner (in this case its an NBA franchise) making where he can pay one of his employees 125 million?  That's why I advocate that everyone read the book Rich Dad Poor Dad.  by Robert T. Kiyosaki.     It might not change your life but it might slap you in the face and wake you up.  Enough Preaching.
