Internet Education Class (Coleman)
Objective: Design a system which is suitable for delivering academic
information, where the teacher and the student are located at
different geographical locations. The Internet must serve as
the communication channel which connects the teacher and student.
The system must provide two way communication, i.e., in addition
to providing content and concepts to the
student, there must be a communications path which allows the student to
provide feedback to the teacher. The system must incorporate each of these
media in its design: text, audio, video, graphics, and animation. A prototype
of the designed system must be sufficiently developed to illustrate each of
its major features. Some of the factors which will be used in accessing the
quality of the developed system include:
- Effective content presentation
- Ease of use
- Appropriate use of media
- Degree of system portability
- Economic feasibility
A group paper outlining and discussing the rationale and the system design will be
required as part of the development.
