As a working actress/dancer who recently portrayed "Nessa Jackson" on NBC's season finale episode of Homicide and as a principal dancer on BET's Planet Groove, Genia maneuvers her way into the cognizance of the world, one performance at a time using movies, plays commercials, television, and dance performances as her avenues. She's quite proud of her academic achievement as well. Genia graduated from the University of Missouri-Columbia in 1994 with a B.A. in Speech Communication before receiving her M.A. in Human Communication Studies/Rhetoric and Intercultural from Howard University in 1996. Having run the gamut from entertainment PR to radio to advertising, she currently contracts as a technical writer while pursuing that even bigger break. "Claim faith and victory. Resiliency is a must - so is doing the work. Be true to your heart; it will lead you where you want to be, and remember that 'No weapon formed against you shall ever prosper!'" -Genia Morgan :-)
