(Note that my husband never wanted a kitten, but after years of Candice's begging, he became worn down, had a momentary lapse of judgement, and said, "Okay." That weekend we got Goldie!)
We love Goldie, but the vet does not. It seems that Goldie does
not like to be restrained, so when she gets her shots, she needs to
be sedated. We have discovered that this is very unusual with kittens,
which gives you an insight into Goldie's personality. We tried to get
a companion for Goldie, but she tormented that little kitten so much that
we had to give her back - after one day! Luckily that kitten was adopted with
her brother, so all turned out well. Goldie is a one-family cat, which is
all right with us - we're a one-cat family!
This is Goldie's favorite toy - a small toy mouse. It gets stuck under
the fridge, or the bureau, which makes Goldie upset. We have bought her
many of these mice, so I believe all of our heavy furniture has a
swarm of toy mice hiding beneath.
