Eligibility Requirements

To be considered for the HU McNair Program, you must meet requirements 1-5:

(1) I am a member of at least one of the following groups(s). (Check all that apply)

()Low income and first-generation college students.
()African American, Alaskan Native, American Indian, Hawaiian Native, Hispanic, or Pacific Islander (Guam & U.S. Territories)

(2)I am a U.S citizen or a permanent resident of the U.S.

(3)I will have achieved junior standing, or I am a sophomore with at least 60 semester credit hours

(4)I plan to apply to graduate school and to pursue a doctoral degree.

(5) I have at least a 3.0 grade point average.
