Merely temporary, I'll have a more impressive one up soon...
This was in New York City, NY (the city so great
they named it twice), summer of 1983. Not sure exactly
how old I was here, but suffice it to say I had a smashing
time at Barnum and Bailey's The Greatest Show on Earth.
Interesting how you couldn't pay me to go to a circus now...
I was in my third year of primary school here, or in the third
grade in American speak. Being rewarded for my academic prowess,
numerous contributions to community service, outstanding
student and faculty relations, pleasant disposition, obviously not for
modesty...
This was taken in December of 1989, on my graduation from primary
school, I don't think this has an equivalent in the American system,
where I think you go on until the 9th grade before you graduate from
grade school (correct me if I'm wrong) On my sides are my two best
chums, Yewande Sunmonu-Fadhunsi (presently in Atlanta, GA) and Sarah
Mojisola Obembe (currently in Eugene, OR) Sniff, for those days again...
Now this here is my pride and joy, Tequila. (this is as her behaviour
is oftentimes not unrelated to that of someone who has had too much
of the stuff) If you're not a dog nut like me, you won't know she's
a gorgeous black and tan Rottweiler who could damn well win a couple
of shows if we had them in Nigeria. She was a year old as of the time of
this pic.
