My name is Marcus Washinton, and I have been the section leader of the 1999 and 2000 Baritone squads, a.k.a. "True Beasts." Being section leader, I follow in the supreme footsteps of such great musicians as Brian Bernard, Steve "Super Steve" Daniel, and Nzinga Howard, a.k.a. "The Beastmaster." It is no secret that the baritone is seldom a musician's primary instrument. For this reason, the title "True Beast" is given to the man or woman who negates this lack in expertise by performing with a relentless intensity and determination to be the best. It is this high level of pride, intensity and musicianship that has and will continue to mold the tradition of all Howard University Baritone Squauds.
